Standing Jaguar, c. 1850
A good quality, nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Standing Jaguar’ by Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze, signed ‘BARYE’ and inscribed ‘F. Barbedienne Fondeur’ and with the inset gold ‘FB’ seal was cast by the Barbedienne Foundry, Paris and has a green patina with black undertones.
