Antoine-Louis Barye

A fine quality, mid nineteenth century bronze model of a Turkish Horse with its left leg raised on a rectangular base entitled ‘Cheval Turc no. 3’, small version, by Antoine-Louis Barye, (French, 1796-1875). This bronze was cast using the sand casting process at the Barbedienne Foundry, Paris. It has a brown, green and orange multicoloured patina.
