A fine quality, nineteenth century bronze model of an ‘Elephant of Senegal’ by Antoine-Louis Barye, French (1796-1875). This bronze was produced using the sand-casting process at the Barbedienne Foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘BARYE’, inscribed by the foundry and has a green patina with brown undertones.
