A rare, fine quality, mid-nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Seated Lion’ by Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze, signed ‘BARYE’, was cast in the artist’s atelier and has a dark brown patina with reddy brown highlights.
