Antoine-Louis Barye

A good quality, nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Walking Elephant’, entitled ‘Cochin Elephant’ by Antoine Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze was produced using the sand casting method at the Brame foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘BARYE’ and has a dark brown patina.
