Crouching Rabbit, c. 1840

A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Crouching Rabbit’ by Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze was produced using the sand casting process at the Henry Bonnard Foundry, New York. It is signed Barye and has a warm brown patina with golden undertones.
