A Virginian Stag, Scratching, 1837
A fine quality, nineteenth century bronze atelier model of a ‘Virginian Stag Scratching’ by Antoine Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze was produced using the sand-casting process at the artist’s atelier in Paris. It is signed, dated and has a brown and dark brown patina with green undertones.
