Python Crushing a Gazelle, c. 1841
A fine quality, mid-nineteenth century atelier bronze model of a ‘Python Crushing a Gazelle’ by Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze is signed ‘A. L. Barye’ and was cast in the artist’s atelier. It has a medium dark brown patina with dark brown undertones.
