Panther seizing a Stag, c. 1857
A fine quality, mid-nineteenth century atelier bronze model of a ‘Panther seizing a Stag’, second version, by Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875). This bronze is signed ‘Barye’ and was cast at the artist’s atelier. It has a dark brown patina with lighter brown undertones.
