Arab Stallion, c.1838

A good quality, nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Arab Stallion’ with head up by Antoine-Louis Barye, French (1796-1875). This bronze, signed ‘BARYE’ and inscribed ‘HBC’ by the Hector Brame Foundry has a dark brown patina with reddy brown highlights.
