Lion and Serpent, 1833
A rare fine quality nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Lion and Serpent’, by Antoine-Louis Barye, French (1796-1875). This bronze, signed ‘BARYE’, was cast in the Atelier Brame as the ‘chef modèle’ and has a rich dark green patina with black undertones.
