Monkey Curled up in its Tail, 1922

Edouard-Marcel Sandoz | Swiss, 1880-1971

A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Monkey Curled up in its Tail, by Edouard Marcel Sandoz (Swiss, 1880-1971). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting in the wax it was signed ‘Ed M Sandoz’ and ‘Cire Perdue Valsuani. This bronze has a brown patina with black undertones.
