Goose Running with a Snail, c. 1917
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Goose running with a Snail entitled ‘Pas de l’oie’ by Edouard-Marcel Sandoz (Swiss, 1880-1971). This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting process at the Susse Foundry, Paris. The piece was signed and inscribed in the wax prior to casting, and has a brown patina.
