Walking Indian Elephant, 1909-1910
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century, impressionistic bronze model of a ‘Walking Indian Elephant’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process by the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax. This cast has a rich dark brown and black patina with lighter reddy brown undertones.
