Cow Lowing, 1901

Rembrandt Bugatti

A fine quality, rare, early twentieth century bronze model of a cow lowing entitled ‘Vache Meuglant’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was producing using the lost wax process for Alberto Grubicy by the Giudici e Strada Foundry, Italy. Prior to casting it was signed and dated in the wax. It has a warm brown patina with golden brown undertones.
