Grand Fourmilier, 1909
A fine quality, early twentieth century model of a Giant Anteater entitled the ‘Grand Fourmilier’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax. It has a brown patina with green undertones.
