Two Small Leopards, one behind the other, c. 1912
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of two leopards entitled ‘Two Small Leopards, one behind the other’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian 1884-1916). This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting process at the Hébrard foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, inscribed and numbered ‘R, Bugatti’. ‘A. A. Hébrard Cire Perdue’. This cast has a rich dark brown patina with lighter brown undertones.
