Standing Boy, 1906
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Standing Boy’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, stamped and numbered in the wax, ‘R. Bugatti’, ‘A.A. Hébrard’, ‘Cire Perdue’. It has a rich dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
