Seated Leopard, 1912
A rare, fine quality early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of a ‘Seated Leopard’ by Rembrandt Bugatti. This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting method at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris, in 1922. Prior to casting in bronze it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘R Bugatti, A A Hébrard, Cire Perdue. This bronze has a rich dark patina with reddy brown undertones.
