Seated Cat, c. 1926
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Seated Cat’ by Edouard Marcel Sandoz, Swiss (1880-1971). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Susse Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed ‘SANDOZ’, inscribed ‘Susse Frs. Edts Paris’ ‘Cire Perdue’ and stamped with the rectangular Susse Freres foundry seal. It has a dark brown patina with lighter brown highlights.
