Nubian Lioness, 1909-1910
A rare and important, fine quality, early twentieth century impressive bronze model of a ‘Nubian Lioness’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This sculpture was cast in bronze using the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax and has a dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones and green highlights.
