‘Mon Chien’, 1905

Rembrandt Bugatti

A fine quality, early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of a Dachshund entitled ‘Mon Chien’ by Rembrandt Bugatti. This sculpture was cast in bronze using the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, stamped and numbered in the wax: ‘R. Bugatti’, ‘ A.A. Hébrard Cire Perdue. This cast has a medium brown patina with golden undertones.
