Merino Sheep, c.1912
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of a ‘Reclining Merino Sheep’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process by the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax. This cast has a rich dark brown to black patina.
