Merino Sheep, c.1912
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of a ‘Reclining Merino Sheep’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process by the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax ‘R. Bugatti, A.A. Hébrard Cire Perdue. This cast has a rich dark brown to black patina.
