Javan Rhinoceros, 1907-1908
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Rhinoceros entitled ‘Rhinocéros de Java’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with black undertones.
