Elephant Blanc d’Asie mendiant, c. 1908
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of an elephant entitled ‘Elephant Blanc d’Asie mendiant’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Hébrard foundry. Prior to casting in bronze, it was signed and stamped in the wax. It has a warm brown patina with golden undertones.
