Atlas, 1915
A fine quality early twentieth century unique bronze model of a Man holding a symbolic rendering of the world on his shoulders entitled ‘Atlas’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was produced at the Petermann foundry, Brussels. It is inscribed ‘Fonderie Natle des Bronzes, Anc. Firme J. Petermann St Gilles, Bruxelles’ and has a gilt patina.
