Elephant at Rest, 1909-1910
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of an ‘Elephant at Rest’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting process at the Hébrard foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax. It has a warm brown patina with darker undertones.
