Male Jabiru Stork, 1912
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Male Stork ‘, entitled ‘Jabiru Male’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Hébrard foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘Rembrandt Bugatti’, ‘A.A. Hébrard’, ‘Cire Perdue’. This bronze has a warm brown patina with lighter brown and gold undertones.
