Two Peccaries, c. 1946
A fine quality, mid-twentieth century bronze model of ‘Two Peccaries’ by Edouard-Marcel Sandoz (Swiss, 1880-1971). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Robecchi Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘E. M. Sandoz’ and ‘C Robecchi Cire Perdue’. This cast has a warm brown patina with golden undertones.
