Two Tapirs, 1910
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century impressionistic bronze model of ‘Two Tapirs’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process by the Hébrard Foundry in Paris. Before casting it was signed, stamped and lettered in the wax. This cast has a warm brown patina with reddy undertones.
