Three Panthers, 1905

Rembrandt Bugatti

A unique, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of ‘Three Walking Panthers’ by Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian, 1884-1916) . This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry in Paris in 1905. Before casting it was signed, inscribed and stamped in the wax ‘R Bugatti 905’, ‘Al sig. A.A. Hebrard che l’arte e il nome mio fece’, and ‘A.A. Hébrard Cire Perdue’. It is a unique piece and has a dark brown patina with lighter undertones.
