Albéric Collin

A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Toucan’ by Alberic Collin (Belgian, 1886-1962). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘A. Collin’, ‘C. Valsuani Cire Perdue’. It has a dark brown patina with golden highlights and the beak is dark reddy brown in colour.
