Pair of Crouching Rabbit bookends, 1920
A good quality, twentieth century bronze pair of Rabbit bookends by Edouard-Marcel Sandoz (Swiss, 1880-1971). These sculptures were cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Susse Frères Foundry in Paris, France. Before casting they were signed and stamped in the wax. These casts have a warm brown patina with golden brown highlights and are mounted on dark green veined marble.
