Two Bloodhounds, c. 1870
A fine quality, nineteenth century bronze model of two Bloodhounds entitled ‘Chiens de Saint-Hubert’ by Isidore Bonheur, (French, 1827 – 1901). This bronze was produced using the sand casting process at the Peyrol foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘I. Bonheur, cold stamped ‘PEYROL’ and has a brown patina.
