Horse and Jockey, After the Race, 1879
A fine quality, rare nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Racehorse with Jockey up’, entitled ‘After the Race’, by Isidore Bonheur (French, 1827 – 1901). This bronze was cast by the Peyrol Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed ‘I. Bonheur’ and cold stamped in the bronze ‘Peyrol Editeur’. This cast has a dark brown patina with golden highlights.
