Horse and Jockey, Trotting, c. 1880
A fine quality, rare nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Racehorse Trotting with Jockey up’, by Isidore Bonheur (French, 1827 – 1901). This bronze, signed ‘I. Bonheur’, and coldstamped Peyrol, was cast by the Peyrol Foundry, Paris, and has a medium brown patina with dark brown undertones.
