Stretching Leopard, c. 1922
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Stretching Leopard’ by Albéric Collin (Belgian, 1886 – 1962). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax and has a reddy brown patina with golden undertones.
