Albéric Collin

A rare, fine quality, twentieth century bronze model of two elephants entitled ‘Elephant Group, Mother and Calf’ by Alberic Collin (Belgian, 1886 – 1962). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax. This example has a dark brown patina with lighter reddy brown undertones.
