The Old West, c. 1924
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a cowboy and steer entitled ‘The Old West’, by Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with lighter brown highlights.
