Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, 1921
A fine quality early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Standing Elegant Lady’, by Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax and it has a dark brown patina with lighter brown highlights.
