Prince Paul Troubetzkoy | Russian / Italian, 1866-1938

A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a portrait of the Japanese actor ‘Sessue Hayakawa’ by Prince Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process. Prior to cast it was signed, dated and inscribed in the wax. It has a warm brown patina with green undertones.
