Prince Paul Troubetzkoy

A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Spanish Dancer, a portrait of Antonia Mercé later known as ‘La Argentina’ by Prince Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866-1938). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with golden undertones.
