Tete de Jean d’Aire, c.1900
A rare, fine quality, twentieth century bronze model of the ‘Head of Jean d’Aire’, small version by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917). This bronze was produced using the sand casting method at the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘A. Rodin’ and inscribed by the foundry ‘Alexis Rudier Fondeur, Paris’ and has a black patina with green highlights and brown undertones.
