La Danaïde, circa 1880
A fine quality, rare, twentieth century bronze model entitled ‘La Danaïde’ by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917). This bronze was produced using the sand casting process at the Griffoul and Lorge foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘A. Rodin’ and has a rich dark brown patina with green and reddy brown highlights and black undertones.
