Jean d’Aire, 1895
A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of ‘Jean d’Aire’ by Auguste Rodin, French (1840-1917). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the sand cast process at the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris. It is signed and inscribed ‘A. Rodin’, and ‘Alexis Rudier Fondeur, Paris’. It has a black patina with green undertones.
