Spitz Dog, c. 1921
A fine quality early twentieth century bronze model of ‘Spitz Dog’, by Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax. It has a warm brown patina with lighter brown highlights.
