Théophile Alexandre Steinlen

A good quality early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Large Seated Angora Cat’, by Theophile Alexandre Steinlen (Swiss, 1859 – 1923). This sculpture was produced using the sand casting process in Paris. Before casting, it was signed ‘Steinlen’ and has a dark brown to black patina with golden brown highlights.
