Cat on a Sofa, 1910
A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Cat on a Sofa’ by Alexandre Theophile Steinlen (Swiss, 1859 – 1923) . This bronze was cast by the lost wax process under the supervision of the sculptor. Prior to casting it was signed in the wax and has a dark brown patina with black undertones and golden reddy brown highlights.
