Mask of Man with the Broken Nose, 1881
A late nineteenth century, very rare, early cast of the Mask of the Man with the Broken Nose by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917). This bronze was produced by the sand cast process at the Gruet Jeune foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘Rodin’ and has a medium brown patina with reddy brown undertones. It is mounted on its original turned red marble base.
