Head of Balzac, 1897
A fine quality, twentieth century bronze model entitled ‘Head of Balzac’ by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917). This bronze was produced by the sand cast process at the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘A. Rodin’, inscribed ‘A Rudier Fondeur, Paris’. It has a warm brown patina with green undertones.
